A turbocharger pushes compressed air into the cylinders of your car’s engine. This increase in oxygen allows the engine to burn more fuel, and create more power as a result. When your car burns fuel at a faster rate like this, it has increased horsepower, so it can accelerate more quickly and function like a larger engine.
